Il progetto, iniziato nel 2005, ha attraversato varie revisioni, fino all'attuale nuova release, basata sul progetto open source Nebula avviato sempre da Idealia Group.
Il progetto Threenix rappresenta la release commerciale ufficiale integrata di Nebula, ed è sviluppato in partnership con PC Service s.r.l., già partner di idealia Group per il progetto Skip2PBX. Thrrenix include funzionalità e moduli specificamente disegnati per la release commerciale, come anche un'interfaccia grafica web-based altamente intuitiva e razionale.
